Mernda Roos finally go home
These are the Mernda roos, who were landlocked by major roads, housing and railways lines for many years before the Victorian government finally gave in and allowed them to be herded back home to Plenty Gorge in Melbourne Victoria.
After years of campaigning alongside rescuer Krysti Severi, almost all of the Mernda kangaroos have gone home. We are very proud to have worked with Ray Mjadwesch, Alistair Brown, Woolworths, Margot Taylor from the Whittlesea Leader, and of course the amazing Krysti Severi all of whom contributed a ridiculous amount of time and effort to get these roos home to Plenty Gorge. They live on today thanks to the work of these incredible wildlife warriors.
